| Our connection with Vani, Shanti and Nahum in Nepal continues. They are asking for our continued prayers and support as they meet new challenges. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings from Nepal! We hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer break. The temperatures here in Kathmandu is around 89 degrees and it is very dry and dusty. We are eagerly waiting for the monsoons to begin in about a week. Then it pours for days and months but at least it gets cooler. We are all doing well and grateful for God's blessings and opportunities to serve each day. Here are some prayer requests for this week: 1. For the five people who will be baptized on June 27. That they would continue to grow in their understanding and relationship with God. That any kind of hindrance from family, society and other areas would not discourage them from continuing with their baptism classes and this step to embark on a new path. 2. For Shanti as he is attending a South Asian Pastor's conference in India on the theme "JUSTICE AT THE HEART OF FAITH" which is jointly sponsored by the Council for World Mission (South Asia Region) and the Communion of Churches in India. Please pray for his travels, for the conference and all the participants as they as leaders become aware and active in serving our Lord through issues around us. For Nahum and Vani as we remain in Kathmandu. 3. For Nahum as he is not feeling too well with the change of weather and is home due to fever and sore throat. 4. For the planning and meetings of the Moravian Mission Trip this October. For all the members of the team from the three churches in Bethlehem, Edgeboro Moravian church, Central Moravian Church and College Hill Moravian Church. (the churches that we served as student pastors) 5. For the "Clothes and Shoe bank" started about four months ago and which is slowly and steadily growing. Though the concept is new here, we hope it will help many people in need, especially during winters. 6. For the many house fellowships each week and the new people that come to this gathering and hear about Christ for the first time. Wisdom and strength for those in charge of these fellowships. Thank you for praying for and with us, as we continue to serve the church ... as part of the body of Christ, in diverse places and situations. May God bless you, In Christ, Shanti and Vani
